Activities:
Week One: Finish stitchery and other projects from last term.
Week Two: Unfinished Pictures & Schools Logo Competition.
Students use the small magazine cut-out to continue lines, patterns and colours to create an image. Design a logo to represent the one new school.
Week Three: Pumpkin sketch on black paper with pastels.
Week Four: Matisse cut-outs. Look at examples of his work with cut outs and make your own.
Week Five: Georgia O'Keefe inspired flora paintings. Use her work as a starting point for student paintings. Use a selection of flowers to draw and paint.
Week Six: Crayon & Dye Wash. Look at illustrators who use this technique as a starting point.
Week Seven: Examine stained glass windows. Students create a design for a Christmas one and transfer onto black paper with cellophane. Create a unique wrapping using stencil printing. Explore repeating patterns using the stencils.
Week Eight: Continue with Stained glass windows and wrapping paper.
Week Nine: Continue with Stained glass windows and wrapping paper.
Week Ten: Continue with Stained glass windows and wrapping paper.
